C4… Defining the Future

The C4 is the hardest kite to categorize because it really does do it all. It can be as hard core as you want but at the same time as forgiving as you might need.

In the beginning of the C4’s development we wanted the positives that a C shape brings but without the negatives. The result is the C4, a grin maker with more than enough de-power, super easy re-launch with sports car performance.

During the development process we discovered that the C4 is an amazing all rounder, in fact I think it is set to define a new direction in terms of design.
The reason for this is because it is so versatile. No question for free-stylers it rocks, great unhooked performance and nice pop. In the waves its outstanding, the c shape gives fast handling and the de power gives you the chance to ride the wave without too much power coming from the kite unless you need it.

Then there is the usability of the C4, it is so easy to use that literally anyone can use it. We even gave it to total beginners to see what would happen, as it turned out they got on really well from first body drags to riding! The most amazing thing was that they water re lunched the kite every time without any problems!

I think this could be the first kite to be able to put a smile on anyone’s face. I love to ride it, our wives love to ride it and our pro free stylers and wave riders are frothing over it.

So if you think the C4 is too hard core for you, you might be wrong! This is a kite that anyone can use and have an awesome session on no matter where you ride or your level.

I know you have heard all this before so I would suggest you book a test ride and then you will see that I am not bull shitting you at all!

I have to admit when I first got the C4, I was nervous as hell to launch it since it was windy and I still have vivid memories of getting yanked and drug by "C" kites in the past. I was pleasantly surprised when I launched it and then went on the water and found nothing evil about the C4 and plenty of depower. Smooth constant power and instant response, like nothing before. The C4 has unreal light wind performance, since the power is so constant. When you 'work" the kite or loop it, the C4 has a steady pull that keeps you moving and going upwind. I have been out 2 times when I was underpowered and both times I could go upwind with an 11m!

I was really nervous about the relaunch of the C4 but I watched other riders in Barbados relaunch the C4 easily (even in the waves, rinse cycle and all.) I put the C4 11m down outside of the reef in Barbados and thought "this isn't good" but even holding my board with one hand, I was able to easily relaunch it with one hand on the bar! NO SWIMMING LIKE IN THE PAST FOR RELAUNCH.

You will notice a big difference in the kite when you look at it while flying it, the front lines attach way on the outside, close to the rear lines, just like a "C" kite. This is why I think it is really a "C" kite. SLE's have the front lines attached much further "inboard" closer to the center of the kite. Sure it has a bridle (very small and short) to hold the shape. Just like a "C" with a 5th line IMO.

I am hard pressed to find a reason to not recommend the C4 to anyone?? Even though I think the Ozone Light or the new Catalyst might be the best option for a beginner, I really can't find many reasons not to recommend it to anyone that really wants performance. I am being told that while demo-ing the C4 in Padre, TX a lot of the females picked it as their next kite, much to the surprise of their more experienced boyfriends!

Do yourself a favor and demo the C4 soon! I don't think you will be disappointed.
