Mark Miedama, age 15, lives in Ocean City, New Jersey, USA. This beach town in southern New Jersey boasts great wind and surf and has a hard-core group of kiters that favor the waves and downwinders. Mark is part of a new generation of young rippers from this area who are pushing the limits with a combination of seasoned wave knowledge and big moves. He is also a distinguished honors student who excels at soccer, baseball, and surfing. He is presently on the "A-squad" of his nationally ranked high school surf team who captured their 14th consecutive NSSA state title. Their team will be bound for Nationals in California in June of 2008. Mark's favorite locations to kite are his home break at Corson's Inlet and anywhere in the ocean in Cape Hatteras, North Carolina. With the support of Atlantickiteboarding.com and Ozone kites, Mark hopes to progress with his unhooked moves and enter the competition scene.
