Step 1 Cut a piece of 3mm spectra line to 7.5" (19cm) in length to create your "back up line". Use a lighter or match to light melt the cut ends to stop fraying. |

Step 2 Locate the front line swivel assembly. |

Step 3 Thread the "back-up line" through the 2 stainless O-rings found at each end of the swivel. |

Step 4 Loop the ends of the "back-up line" together to create a loop. Tie the loose ends together using a reef knot or similar strong non slip knot. Make sure the knot is pulled tight. |

Step 5 Back-up line with knot tied tight and ready for use. |
